Setting up Crivid IPTV Player, and what to do when something is off.

Crivid includes no channels. You need a source of your own: a login or playlist from your IPTV provider, a media server, or a tuner. Crivid AS never sells channels or subscriptions, and anyone offering Crivid IPTV with channels is not us.

Add an Xtream Codes login

Most providers give you a server address, a username and a password. That is an Xtream Codes login.

  1. Open Settings, then Playlists.
  2. Under Add a source, choose Xtream Codes login.
  3. Type the server, username and password exactly as your provider sent them, including http:// and any port number.

Channels, films, series and the TV guide come in on their own. On a TV it is easiest to set this up on your phone first, since typing with a remote is slow.

Add an M3U playlist

Some providers send a single link instead, often ending in .m3u or containing get.php.

  1. Open Settings, then Playlists.
  2. Under Add a source, choose M3U playlist and paste the link.
  3. If your provider gave you a separate guide link, add it as EPG URL (optional).

With Pro you can add several playlists and combine them into one guide, or keep them apart.

The TV guide will not load

The guide is a separate file from your provider, and some providers send a very large one. Recent versions of Crivid handle much larger guides than before, so start by updating the app from the store.

  1. Give it a minute on first start. A large guide takes a while to download and sort.
  2. Open Settings, then Playlists, and choose Refresh TV guide. It updates the listings without touching your channels.
  3. If you use an M3U playlist, check that the EPG URL is the one your provider gave you.
  4. Still empty? Tell us on Discord which provider and which device, and we will look at it with you.

Connect Jellyfin, Emby or Plex

Your own films and series can sit in the same app as your channels. This is part of Pro.

  1. Open My Media.
  2. Choose Connect Jellyfin or Emby and enter your server address and login, or choose Connect Plex and sign in at plex.tv/link with the code on screen. Plex needs no password in the app.

Each library gets its own row, and the posters, ratings and progress come from your server.

Add an HDHomeRun tuner

Open Devices. Crivid looks for HDHomeRun tuners on your home network, and their channels join the guide with everything else. The tuner and the device running Crivid need to be on the same network. This is part of Pro.

Pro and purchases

Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every Pro feature is free for seven days from the first time you open the app, with no card details. When it ends, the app goes back to the free version and your settings stay.
I bought Pro, but it is gone
Open Settings, then Account & Pro, and choose Restore purchase. Use the same Google or Apple account you bought it with.
Does Pro follow me between Android and Apple?
No. Google Play and the App Store cannot see each other's purchases, so Pro bought on Android does not unlock an iPhone, iPad or Apple TV, or the other way round.
What is the Support ID?
You will find it in Settings. If you write to us about a purchase, include it. It lets us find your install without guessing.

The picture freezes or buffers

A picture that freezes is usually the channel or the provider, not the app. Watch two different channels for a minute each. If one freezes and the other does not, the problem is at your provider.

Settings, then Diagnostics, can help. Run the checks tests your internet, the clock, your provider and your subscription, and the section below it counts how often the picture has frozen on each live channel.

If you use a VPN, try once without it. Some providers block VPN addresses.

Which devices does it run on?

Android phones and tablets, Android TV and Google TV from Google Play. iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac from the App Store. Fire TV is coming to the Amazon Appstore, and Windows is in progress. See the roadmap for the latest.

Chromecast is not supported, and AirPlay carries sound only for now. Install Crivid on the TV itself instead.
